GHSP Landmarks (2012.9-2017.7)

2017

1.  PMO developed the risk management list for GHSP, and participated in the DFID training on risk management and anti-fraud during Jan. to Feb..

2. At the end of February 2017, DFID officially approved the project extension. Some of the activities will extend to the end of Sept. in 2018, including project management, CGHN activities, pilots of OP401 and OP402. Relevant contracts have been updated in accordance with the extension.

3. OP402 mid-term workshop of was held in Shanghai on March 1-4.

4.  DFID 2016-2017 annual review has been done in Mar.,and GHSP was graded with A+.

5. The Phase II of GHSP is being schemed and prepared from the middle of March.

6. During Apr. to Jun., China National Audit Office had completed audit of the expenditure in 2016.

7. The 10th SOC Meeting was held on Apr. 25 in Beijing.

8.  Joint supervision on Myanmar pilot was held on May 22-25.

9. “One belt, one road workshop” & the 2nd Committee Meeting of Global Health Branch of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association funded by GHSP was held on Jun. 1-2 in Shanghai.

10.  Fudan Global Health Institution held the 2nd OP401 Consulting Committee Meeting on Jun. 3.

11. The 1st Committee Meeting of China Global Health Network (CGHN) in 2017 was held on Jun. 12 in Beijing.

12.  The 4th China-UK Global Health Dialogue was held in Beijing on Jul. 12.

 


2016

1.  The 8th SOC Meeting was held on March 23 in Beijing.

2. DFID 2015-2016 annual review has been done in Mar.,and GHSP was graded with A+.

3. During Apr. to Jun., China National Audit Office had completed audit of the expenditure in 2015, and issued no objection audit report.

4. 2016 DFID internal audit has been completed in May.

5. The overseas pilot workshop was held on Jun. 15.

6. The Myanmar pilot of OP401 launching meeting was held during Oct. 17-20, meanwhile, the first supervision on MSIM project implementation was conducted.

7.  OP402 conducted the overseas supervision in Tanzania on Oct.20-25.

8. Fudan Global Health Institution held a OP401 Consulting Committee Meeting on Nov. 2.

9.  DFID Health Adviser Professional Development Conference 2016 was held from Oct. 31 to Nov. 4 in Beijing and Hebei Province.

10.  The 2016 China Global Health Network Annual Conference & International Symposium on Global Health Development was held during Nov. 3-4 in Beijing.

11.  The 9th SOC Meeting was held on November 15 in Beijing.

12.  Training course on global health international consulting service capacity was held during Dec. 6-11.

13.  According to the DFID requirement, PMO carefully studied the DFID anti-fraud document, Anti-fraud Policy: Zero Tolerance Strategy, in December, to enhance anti-fraud awareness.

 


2015

1.  During Jan. to Feb., 5 PIAs under output 2 to 3 had updated and adjusted their own proposals.

2. The 6th SOC Meeting was held on Mar. 20 in Beijing.

3. DFID 2014-2015 annual review has been done in Mar.,and GHSP was graded with A.

4. The 5th China-Africa Health Cooperation Workshop was held on March 26 to 27.

5.  During Apr. to Jun., China National Audit Office had completed audit of the expenditure in 2014, and issued no objection audit report.

6. “China-UK-Tanzania Pilot Project of Malaria Control: Application of Community-Based and Integrated Strategy” (OP402) was launched in May.

7.  “Pilot Interventions to Apply Relevant Chinese Practices and Experiences to Improve the Health of Women and Children in Low-Income Countries in Asia and Africa” (OP401) was launched in Jun..

8. Training course on policy briefing writing was held on July 4.

9. “China-UK Cooperation Proposal on Improving Public Health Capacity of Sierra Leone through China CDC” (OP403) was launched in Sept..

10.  The 3rd China-UK Global Health Dialogue was held on Sept. 14.

11.  GHSP official account in We chat platform namely “GHSP and global health” was put into use on Sept. 20.

12.  GHSP information system was put into use on Oct. 15.

13.  The 7th SOC Meeting was held on November 10 in Beijing.

14.  Flagship training on Health Development and assistance was held in UK on Nov. 15-28.

15.  The workshop on “Looking to China Global Health Development based on China’s Experience in Health Development”/the 2nd Annual Meeting of the Programme was held on Dec. 7-8. 

16.  Round Table on Health and Post Millennium Development Goals was held on Dec. 14. 

 


2014

1. Nine sub-projects under output 1 to 3gradually launched during Jan. to Mar.

2. Baseline survey of GHSP has been completed in February to April.

3. DFID 2013-2014 annual review has been done in Mar.,and GHSP was graded with A

4. The 4th SOC Meeting was held on Mar. 21 in Beijing.

5. During Apr. to Jun., China National Audit Office had completed audit of the expenditure in 2013, and issued no objection audit report.

6. The external evaluation workshop and SOC coordination Meeting was held on Jun. 16 in Beijing.

7.  DFID internal audit has been completed in Sept..

8. Tendering procedures for principal agency of “Reproductive Health / Maternal and Child Healthcare”under output 4 have been initiated by PMO in Sept., and Fudan Global Health Institution were selected as the successful tenderer.

9.  The 2nd China-UK Global Health Dialogue was held in Shanghai on Nov. 12.

10.  The 1st Programme Annual Meeting was held in Shanghai on Nov. 13.

11.  The 5th SOC Meeting was held on Dec. 16 in Beijing.

 


2013

1. GHSP Launching Meeting was held on January 16 in Beijing, which formally declared the programme’s initiation.

2. The 2nd SOC Meeting was held on February 6 in Beijing. The meeting defined the programme’s logic framework and the first batch of Technical Advisory Group (TAG) experts.

3. The Programme Management Agreement (PMA) was signed between PMO and DFID China on March 6.

4. The 1st China-UK Global Health Dialogue was held in London on March 11.

5. Tendering procedures for principal agencies of ‘Global Health Core Research’ under the programme’s output 1 have been initiated by PMO on June 26. NIPD of China CDC, Global Health Study Institute (GHSI) of Fudan University and School of Public Health of PKU were selected as the successful tenderers on September 30.

6. Tendering procedures for principal agencies of ‘Health Development Aid’ under the programme’s output 2 and ‘Global Health Policies Making and Governance’ under output 3 have been initiated by PMO on July 26. NIPD of China CDC, School of Public Health of PKU, National Health Development and Research Center and School of Public Health of Fudan University were selected as the successful tenderers on November 8.

7. The 3rd SOC Meeting was held on October 14 in Beijing.

8. ITAD, a UK-based consulting company, has been selected as the programme’s external evaluation group through international open tendering by DFID and PMO in November.

 


2012

1. On September 17, a Memorandum was signed between MOFCOM and DFID on China UK Global Health Support Programme, which laid a foundation for the programme approval.

2. Department of International Cooperation (DIC) of NHFPC initiated the tendering procedures for the Programme Management Office (PMO) in October, Center for Project Supervision and Management (CPSM) of the former Ministry of Health was selected as the successful tenderer on December 4.

3. The 1st SOC Meeting was held on December 18 in Beijing. The meeting defined the programme’s SOC memberships including DFID China, Department of International Economics and Trade Affairs (DIETA) OF MOFCOM and DIC of NHFPC.
