The programme will help China improve its contribution to global health and achieve the potential of its collaboration. GHSP is scheduled to be implemented from 2012 to 2017 with a total budget of £12 million. |

Seminar on Malaria Prevention and Control in China-Myanmar Border was Held in December 2014 in Shanghai.Officials and experts in the malaria prevention and control field from China CDC and Myanmar"s Health Ministry aswell as representatives from WHO, UN Project Affairs Division and Health Unlimited participated in the seminar. Aseries of themes including effective cross-border cooperation in the Greater Mekong River Sub-region Area under theframework of WHO Arteannuin Resistance Emergency Response Project, termination of malignant malaria andmultiple drug resistance key indicators were discussed in the seminar. With the theme of "a universal coverage of health care andhigh quality, accessible essential commodities, medicines and vaccines" of the meeting, representatives focused onthe discussion of key fields of China and Africa cooperation as well as how to propose policy suggestions ondeepening such cooperation in this regard.

The aim of this research is, through systematically studying the practices,features and experience of NGOs" global health involvement, to provide reasonable evidence for research institutions as well as improve their capacity in global health decision making and governance. GHSP the 6th Strategic Oversight Committee Meeting Held in Beijing |
GHSP the 6th Strategic Oversight Committee (SOC) Meeting was held in Beijing on March 20, 2015. During themeeting, the GHSP Annual Progress Report 2014-2015 was presented by PMO and the programme"s annual reviewreport was briefed by independent experts. Also, the programme"s Annual Work Plan 2015-2016 was deliberated asscheduled. SOC fully confirmed PIAs" periodical results in conducting the research on China"s global health strategy, improving the capacity of Chinese government officials, scholars and experts in participating global healthaffairs. Meanwhile, the committee identified the major problems in programme implementation.
