Themes of this tender are “Global Governance and Key Countries' Participation in Antibiotic Resistance and the Revelations for China”, “Assessment on Health Collaboration Requirements and Research on the Collaborating Strategy of Key Countries along the Belt and Road” and “self-selected topics of global health research”. The members of CGHN enthusiastically bid for their interested topics. Till the close of the tender on 8December 2017, PMO and the Secretariat received a total of 29 tendering proposals.

On 21 December, 2017, the Secretariat organized a proposal evaluation committee and held an evaluation meeting to review and score 29 tendering proposals. With the terms of reference, the evaluation experts carefully reviewed each proposal to select the excellent ones. Finally, a total of 11 bid winners under the three bidding themes were identified.

In order to ensure that all tendering institutions can complete the research work on time and submit deliverables that meet the project standards, PMO held a meeting from 5-6 January 2018 to negotiate on the revision of tendering proposals and conduct relevant training on GHSP programme management and policy briefs writing with the support of experts.

During the meeting, PMO and the technical team, composed of Prof. Liu Peilong and Prof. Xu Tongwu, discussed with the 11 tendering institutions in turn on the content of the proposal, the focus of the contract, and follow-up notes. All the institutions completed the modification of the proposal during the meeting and confirmed the contract.

Recently, 11 research contracts have been basically signed. Since then, 11 new members have joined in the GHSP family among which 8 institutions undertake GHSP consulting service tasks independently at the first time. PMO sincerely welcomes the participation of all the new members. It is expected that after six months, all the research results can effectively contribute to the formulation of China's global health-related policies.
