China Should Take More Initiatives in the Global Governance of Anti-Microbial Resistance
Abstract
Compared with the international level of anti-microbial resistance governance, there is a significant lag in the initiation and progress of anti-microbial resistance governance in China, and China’s participation in global anti-microbial resistance governance is insufficient. At present, the international community has put an unprecedented emphasis on the governance of anti-microbial resistance, which is the best time for China to further participate in the global efforts. China should view anti-microbial resistance governance from the perspective of safeguarding the public health, national health security and “One Health” of the world, and should take a far-fetched view, seize the opportunity and act decisively and positively in the global efforts of addressing anti-microbial resistance, showing its responsible role at an international level.
