Health Cooperation Needs and Strategy among China and Viet Nam
Abstract
Viet Nam, one of the significant neighboring countries, maintained sound cooperation with China in the field of health under multilateral frameworks. This research puts forward health cooperation strategies between China and Viet Nam in the future. 1) Principle of cooperation: Both bilateral and multilateral cooperation needs to be strengthened hand in hand and targeted strategy needs to be adopted. 2) Level of cooperation: Priority should be given to national plan, while civil cooperation needs to be paid more attention to. 3) Content and form of cooperation: China and Viet Nam should further promote the cooperation in targeted areas such as health technology (technical expertise and frontier technology) and management experience (promoting health system). 4) Key fields of cooperation: Prevention and control of chronic diseases is one of the priority issues in Viet Nam. Besides, Viet Nam is willing to have insight into China CDC system and draw China's experience in public hospital reform. 5) Mechanisms of cooperation: Making good use of the existing multilateral cooperation mechanisms and establishing cooperation with international organizations. 6) Supervising mechanism: Project Management is the key and cooperation effectiveness is the core.
